Environmental Fabrications have been manufacturing water tank lids and covers for a number of years. Our water tank lids and covers are still far superior to all current alternatives on the market.

Most water tank lid manufacturers use GRP as the core material for production. It has been proven that over time GRP starts to delaminate and becomes brittle. Due to Health and Safety regulations, cleaning of water tanks is a regular procedure and this involves the removal of the water tank lid. We have found on a number of occasions that GRP lids are easily damaged and cracked during this procedure.

Environmental Fabrications use Rigid Polypropylene for the manufacture of all water tank lids and covers. Polypropylene as a material is virtually unbreakable and has excellent impact resistance. Polypropylene also has the added advantage of hot air welding, allowing water tank covers to be manufactured on site if required. Another advantage of hot air welding is the strength of joints and welds; this coupled with the material properties makes our water tank lids and covers the most durable on the market to date.
